Machine Learning to Map the Surface of Mars

This was my final year project and due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, a heavily computerized approach was taken to limit the impacts of restrictions.

In essence, this project was to find key terrains on satellite images from Mars using a computer-vision algorithm written in python using PyTorch.

Gas Turbine Design 1 + 2

Gas Turbine designs 1 and 2 were university modules where an entire aircraft engine has been designed encompassing but not limited to the dimensions of the blades, the materials used, the disk compositions, and the combustor sizing.

A very time-intensive project but rewarding, GTD 2 paper available.

  • CAD

    Using NX11 an entire landing gear assembly has been drafted. Other CAD projects include an IMechE UAV. Also experience with CATIA V5

  • CFD

    Using STAR-CCM + the Key parameters of airflow around a complex object have been displayed to draw engineering conclusions.

  • strucural analysis

    The structural analysis of a wing drafted in CAD using finite elements.

  • Manufacturing CNC

    Design and build aluminum fastening using a Lathe, milling, and laser cutter also experience using a 3D printer and injection molding.
